VERTICAL PIPE ADAPTERS
Type P Air-Gap Insulated Mine Hanger for Vertical Pipe and Threaded Rod
Applications: For vertical attachment to 1 ¼" pipe or 5/8"-1 1 thread rod in high vein or wet mines.
Features: Phoenix Type P Air-Gap Insulated Mine Hangers consist of a malleable iron "bell" casting, and a #8525 Type BB Universal Insulator. Bell is provided with three 3/8" square head set screws for pipe attachment and an 11/16" x 5/8" - 11 boss for threaded rod attachment. A small drain hole directs water away from insulator over bell skirt.

Adapter - For 3/4" Pipe
Applications: For use in conjunction with #8213 Phoenix Type JL Pipe Anchor Shells and unthreaded 3A" pipe in mines in which height of roof varies.
Features: Phoenix Insulated Clamp Type Vertical Pipe Adapters consist of #8212 Vertical Pipe Adapter, #8221 Type K Bell Hanger Shell, and a #8525 Type BB Universal Insulator. All castings are malleable irons. Insulator is tested to 15,000 volts di-electric strength and is rated to 10,000 # pull strength. Stud is 11/ 16" x5/8" - 11.
