Type BB Universal Insulators
Applications: The uses for this insulator have in practice proved almost endless. For trolley overhead construction, it can be attached to mine roof, header, side timber, messenger or span wire, and strain fittings, or overhead crane as a basic insulator.
Features: Phoenix Type BB Universal Insulators are manufactured of steel boss and stud molded and fixed in place by a malleable iron yoke casting held in high strength Genal phenolic. Each insulator is tested to 15,000 volts di-electric strength and is rated to 10,000 # pull strength, 3000 # cantilever strength. Maximum operating temperature is 250 degrees F.
