Trolley Lubricant

Applications: For use with Phoenix Trolley Lubricant Applicators to lubricate trolley wire to inhibit wire and current collector wear. Phoenix Trolley Lubricant contains no hazardous materials.

Features: Phoenix Trolley Wire Lubricant consists of finely powdered graphite suspended in a non-flammable medium. When applied to trolley wire or third rail surfaces, the medium evaporates leaving an electrically conductive, lubricated surface.

Type RA Composite Trolley Poles

Applications: For installation on all sizes of mine trolley locomotives to support current collectors.

Features: Phoenix Type RA Composite Trolley Poles consist of three parts: 18" overall length wood head and butt sections, connected by a 2" nominal diameter section of double wall fiberglass pipe. Four 3/8" hex head cap screws, lockwasher and wing nuts fasten sections together. This unique design permits an unlimited number of pole lengths merely by changing the length of the pipe.

Fiberglass pipe is light, durable, electrically inert, and moderately flexible, allowing better spring tensioning of the pole and inhibiting costly pole breakage.

Under typical mine haulage conditions, the fiberglass pipe section should never break. Wood head and butt sections, however, are purposely designed to break if a de-wired flying collector strikes the rib, an I-beam, or similar roof support.
