Type JR Mine Feeder Safety Switches
Applications: For use as main mine feeder disconnect where it is necessary to have the ability to break the circuit under load.
Features: Phoenix Type JR Mine Feeder Safety Switches consist of a heavy duty quick make, quick break switch assembly, enclosed in a machine tool gray steel, NEMA 12 enclosure with Lexan viewing window. Arc chutes consist of a series of V-shaped steel grids fastened to fiber-reinforced plastic sidewalls. Perforations allow gases to escape safely. Silver plated copper blades and bolted main contacts assure low contact resistance. Kiss type arcing contacts inhibit blade wear.
Each switch has two poles, or a total of four terminal points. Cable terminals should be ordered separately to match specified wire size. Oiltite box connectors should also be ordered separately to match specified wire size.
